At DIGITAL X 2019, the winners of the Digital Champions Award were announced live in Cologne. The prize is awarded to the most significant digital projects, highlighting innovation in SMEs. It is based on a joint initiative from WirtschaftsWoche and Telekom. 128 companies from all over Germany submitted their ideas in 2019.

NATIONAL DIGITAL CHAMPIONS AWARD 2020

Despite all the cutbacks for SMEs, this year has also seen a number of digital success stories right here in Germany, which we are recognizing with the Digital Champions Award 2020.

The jury, which included Hagen Rickmann, Director Business Customers at Telekom Deutschland GmbH and Beat Balzli, Editor-in-Chief of WirtschaftsWoche, among other experts, convened on November 5, 2020 for the national Digital Champions Award 2020.

This year’s first digital edition of the national Digital Champions Awards also included awards for six regional winners. Telekom Deutschland, WirtschaftsWoche, and the University of St. Gallen, which was once again involved as an academic partner, shortlisted the following companies:

With the Digital Champions Award (DCA), we have created the largest cross-industry award for the German growth market in the area of digitalization and transformation. This joint award from Telekom and WirtschaftsWoche recognizes SMEs which are consistently and innovatively implementing digital solutions.

The Digital Champions Award 2020 not only aims to reward the best projects, but to also give digital SME pioneers a platform as digital trailblazers. They are showing how to successfully tackle the challenges of digitalization and are responding to new situations bravely and flexibly with their powers of innovation.
