Ranga Yogeshwar

Ranga Yogeshwar graduated in physics at RWTH Aachen University and in 1987 took a position as head of the science department at Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne. During his work in broadcasting, he conceived and presented numerous television programmes, including ‘Quarks & Co’, ‘Die große Show der Naturwunder’ and ‘Wissen vor acht’. Since 2008, Yogeshwar has been active as an independent science journalist and author. He has received over 60 distinctions, including honorary doctorates from the universities of Wuppertal and Koblenz-Landau; an honorary professorship from the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, University of Applied Sciences; the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany; and the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
