Rafael Laguna

Rafael Laguna de la Vera had been a successful entrepreneur and investor in the software business for over 30 years when he was asked to set up the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (SPRIND) in 2019. The agency is a limited liability company (GmbH) of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its purpose is to implement an innovation policy approach to promoting disruptive innovations that is unique in Germany to date. Rafael Laguna established his first start-up at the young age of 16. He went on to build numerous other technology companies and worked as a technology investor, interim manager and consultant for venture capital funds. Rafael Laguna is a guest lecturer at several universities and co-founding partner of the CODE University of Applied Sciences.
