Nazan Eckes

Nazan Eckes is one of Germany's best-known TV presenters and the proud mother of two sons. Born in Cologne in 1976, she began her TV career at the age of 23 with the local magazine show "Guten Abend RTL. From 2001 to 2005, Nazan Eckes presented "RTL II News" and then moved within the group to the main station RTL. In 2005, she started in the moderation team of "Explosiv-Das Magazin" and "Explosiv-Weekend" and took over the main moderation duties in 2015. After working as a stand-in for many years, she took over the main moderation for Extra - das RTL Magazin. Nazan Eckes was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Order of Merit of the FRG in 2017 and the Order of Merit of the State of NRW in 2021.
