About the Speaker

Mark Bongardt is Lead Architect for the Google Sovereign Cloud and responsible for the technical implementation of the Sovereign Cloud with a special focus on sovereignty as well as usability and scalability. He has assumed a variety of technology roles at T-Systems since 2015. After initially serving as back-end developer in a team working on the development of a hybrid and multi-cloud management tool, he embarked on a career as an architect, holding various positions advising clients regarding cloud migration. In subsequent years he worked for the CTO of T-Systems, launching, among other things, the Open Sovereign Cloud project.
