About the Speaker

Han is currently a senior mechatronics engineer at a startup company in the silicon valley making automated factories for MEMS devices. Previously, he oversaw instrument development and buildouts at Celldom, a single cell genomics biotech startup, and was a microfabrication engineer at Neuralink, where he manufactured and designed test modules for the company's brain implant devices.

Han graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, with a Bachelors in Applied Science in Engineering Physics, with a minor in honors mathematics. From this program, Han acquired a mixed skillset of mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and software engineering, and worked in multiple international research institutions including the Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics in Hamburg and the Canadian National Institute for Nanotechnology in Edmonton, Canada.
