About the Speaker

Dr Sorin Cheran is an HPE Fellow and currently serves as the Global CTO for AI and Data. He is also Vice President of Next Gen Technology Innovation as part of the CTO Office at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Since 2007 he has held various positions at HPE, including that of Vice President of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy and Solutions Group, which set up the AI business at HPE. Additionally he was AI and Chief Architect at Hewlett Packard Labs and a key member in the European Pre-sales team for HPC and AI. Dr Cheran’s drive, creativity, energetic leadership and spirit of collaboration consistently deliver outstanding business outcomes for HPE and its customers. He has a master’s degree in nuclear physics from the University of Siegen and a doctorate in AI from the Università degli Studi di Torino. Sorin Cheran has nurtured and evangelised artificial intelligence within HPE as well as externally with customers.
