About the Speaker

Dr Khaled Bagban, Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), is responsible for all digital and IT functions at Klöckner & Co at 160 locations worldwide and drives the digital business transformation of the steel and metal distributor. As CEO of the innovation unit kloeckner.i GmbH, he manages the development of digital products and services along the group’s entire value chain. Previously Dr Bagban held various IT management positions at the Otto Group and most recently was Global Chief Information Officer at Olympus. Khaled Bagban studied IT and holds a PhD in economics. He was awarded CIO of the Year 2021 in the Transformation category and he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the CIO Foundation.
