About the Speaker

Dr Katharina Reuter is a multiple-award-winning agricultural economist who advocates sustainable business as Managing Director of the BNW Bundesverband Nachhaltige Wirtschaft (German Federation of Sustainable Economy). She has been Managing Director of leading sustainability organisations for more than 15 years, working intensively with companies in the transformation process. As a keynote speaker and with her ideas and podcasts on such issues as true cost accounting, sustainable corporate governance or circular economy she actively contributes to the public policy debate. She is a co-founder of Entrepreneurs For Future and the European Sustainable Business Federation. Her expertise is valued on the jury of the German Environmental Award and the German Sustainability Award, among others. Reuter is also an unpaid member of the Supervisory Board of Regionalwert AG Berlin-Brandenburg.

The Bundesverband Nachhaltige Wirtschaft (BNW e.V.) is an independent business association that has promoted environmental and climate protection since 1992. The association and its member companies demonstrate pragmatically that business, social and ecological issues are closely connected. The association also takes a stand in Brussels via its European umbrella organisation, Ecopreneur.eu.
