About the Speaker
Dr Eckart Schmidt has been with the DHL Group since 2005. He has led the Central Customer Integration Service department within the Post & Parcel Germany division for four years. He places special emphasis on consulting, connecting and supporting digital interfaces of corporate customers to the IT systems of Deutsche Post and DHL. The objective is to fulfil the customer promise of ‘Zuverlässig. Einfach. Besser’ (Reliable. Simple. Better) in this division, too. The focus is on predicting malfunctions through machine learning in order to avoid them if at all possible. Dr Schmidt earned a PhD in chemistry at the Friedrich Alexander University and held various positions at Post & Parcel Germany in the area of IT infrastructure.
