About the Speaker
Dr Christian Weingärtner is Managing Director of Ford of Germany, Ford of Austria and Ford of Switzerland. He runs the operational business in the German-speaking countries and at the same time is in charge of the Marketing and Sales department. In this role he develops the automobile manufacturer’s new brand positioning. Under the motto ‘Adventurous Spirit’ he takes emotional products such as the Ford Mustang and keys in on the sense of freedom and adventure they convey so they can be experienced on the road. At the same time he focuses on an electric strategy: from 2030, every Ford passenger car sold in Europe will be an electric vehicle, and from 2035 this will also apply to utility vehicles.
