About the company

Scanblue AG is a technology leader in digitising physical objects, with a focus on creating digital replicas specifically designed for use in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Metaverse, online shops, retail settings, etc. Customers can either rent a 3D scanning system from Scanblue to operate it on premises or have their products digitised as a service via Scan-as-a-Service by Scanblue. Scanblue develops the necessary equipment, algorithms and software in-house to consistently deliver high tech at the highest level to its customers.

We showcase a wide range of digitised products from our customers across various industries in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Visitors can interactively see for themselves how their own products would appear in AR and VR. Often, they encounter products from their competitors, making it immediately evident that the time has come for almost every company to digitise their products right now.

What makes the product unique

According to our customers, the digital replicas of products generated with our technologies are the most true-to-life in the global market by far. Our technologies simultaneously combine this realism with minimal file sizes. This is crucial when such objects are being transmitted over mobile networks to smartphones – the smaller the file size, the shorter the loading time. Increasingly important as well is that digitisation using our technologies is as simple as pushing a button; no special know-how is required by the operator. Also, large quantities can be digitised in a short period of time.

Solution for the customer

Today, most of our clients use our technologies to digitise their products for use in online shopping. This allows their customers to explore these products in Augmented Reality at home while shopping online. In full size, at the desired location and in every detail. The online shopper gains an opportunity to inspect the desired product in a way that is not possible through any other online means. To measure the impact of this enhanced customer experience on sales, our customers have conducted systematic A/B testing, resulting in an observed increase in revenue of approximately 20%.
